At Harrison County Rural Electric Cooperative (REC), April holds special significance. I want to take a moment to highlight and celebrate two important observances. First, we recognize Lineman Appreciation Day held on the second Monday of April. This day is a time to acknowledge our operations and member services teams who work tirelessly in the field to ensure we have safe and reliable power. Additionally, we celebrate Administrative Professionals Day held on April 23rd, where we acknowledge the essential role of our office team in keeping our operations running smoothly and providing exceptional service to our members. Both of these observances are a reminder of the hard work, dedication, and teamwork that make our cooperative strong.

As we reflect on the ongoing journey of our cooperative, it’s important to take a moment to recognize and express our gratitude to the incredible team of individuals who make it all possible—our employees.

At Harrison County REC, each member of our team plays a vital role in our success. Whether out in the field, on the phone, or in the office, our employee team is deeply committed to ensuring safe, reliable, and affordable electricity to our membership.

Our Operations team and electricians work tirelessly, often in the harshest of conditions, to keep the power on for our members. Their hard work, skill, and dedication make all the difference when it comes to responding to outages, maintaining our infrastructure, and ensuring that electricity flows safely to homes and businesses. They are true problem-solvers, always ready to roll up their sleeves to address any challenge.

But our line crews are only part of the equation. Equally important are the members of our office staff. They are the backbone of our cooperative, providing essential customer service, helping our members navigate their bills, and offering the resources necessary for understanding and managing their power usage. Whether it's assisting with billing inquiries, or offering educational materials, our office staff ensures that our members always have the

support they need.

The work we do as a cooperative is never easy. Yet, it is our people who continually rise to the occasion. The dedication and commitment of our team is a critical part in our mission and vision. The quality of service we provide, the trust we’ve built within our communities, and the reliability of the power we deliver are a direct result of the passion and dedication of our employees.
